Q: What is the first step in the process?

A: The first step in the process is to decide which package best suits your needs, this includes would you like to have a custom look? How many pages you will require and not only at this moment but how many pages you will need over time as it can get quite expensive to add pages at a later date. It is always wise to choose a package that will suit your needs now and to allow your organization room to grow. Once you have decided what your needs are in the website you simply email us and let us know which package you’d like to choose.

Q: What do you need from me to get started on my website?

A: We will always ask for colours of preference if it is a school then school colours, a logo if you have one and a few photos for the front page if you would like them included. We will also ask that you please start getting your content together for the site so when it is time for content to be added you have it ready. We also ask for menu preference for example would you prefer the menu to be at the top or down the side? Any ideas you may have for your site need to expressed to us at this time.

Q: How will I know what my website will look like throughout the process?

A: Once we receive the above information from you, in 3 to 4 days or sometimes sooner we will send you a “layout” of your website which is a screenshot of the design that we have come up with for you. At this point you have the opportunity to let us know of any changes you would like to make. This is your chance to express any likes or dislikes with the design and we then will make any required changes. We will send an updated layout with changes made for approval. Once we have approval we will ask you to send content and the site will be built, when the site has been built you will receive a link where you can view your site and tell us of any adjustments you would like to make to the content. Upon approval of this we will ask for FTP details to be sent to us so we can upload the site to your web hosting.

Q: How long does it take for the entire process to be completed?

A: It will take no longer then a week for the Bronze and Silver package provided we have all content on time, for the Gold and Platinum package please expect it to take a week and a half to two weeks. We will advise you depending on the size of the website.

Q: How do I send my content etc to you?

A: In order for us to keep our costs down and pass those onto you, we ask that everything be sent in email format, if you have problems sending anything please email us and we will help you get everything sent to us via snail mail.

Q: Where do I find the different packages to choose from?

A: You can find all of our packages in the Packages area of our website.

Q: What is a flash banner?

A: A Flash banner simply means the banner itself is completed in Flash and the rest of the website is HTML.

Q: What is a full Flash site?

A: A full Flash website is a website entirely built in Flash which means the website has lots of movement and there is much more diversity to choose from with a Flash website.

Q: Can I have password protected areas on my website?

A: The Platinum  and Super Summer Packages allow this however for the bronze package a once off fee of $25.00 occurs.

Q: Can I have an upload area on my website?

A: The Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages allow this however for the bronze package a once off fee of $25.00 occurs.

Q: Do you provide domain names and webhosting?

A: We will provide a .com domain name and basic package webhosting if required, please have name preferences ready and we take care of everything. We pay for the Domain name for the first year after this you will be billed a small charge each year thereafter to keep the name. The cost is usually about 10-12 dollars per year. Please note: If you require a .com.au domain name this is not included in Package pricing. You are also required to have a current ABN to register the .com.au domain name.

Q: When do I pay you?

A: We ask for payment at the time of ordering a package, once we have been contacted to begin a website you will recieve an invoice via email with payment details to paid immediately.

Q: How do I pay you?

A: Payment can be made by bank transfer, paypal or by cheque, all details will be included in the invoice email.

Q: What are FTP details?

A: These are simply the username and password used for your hosting company to upload your website to the internet.

Q: Who owns the website upon completion?

A: You own your website upon completion and there are no further costs or hidden fees upon completion unless you choose to have your website updated by us.

Q: Can I complete my own updates?

A: That depends on you, we usually build a website in Dreamweaver,  Flash, Webexpressions  but we also build websites in Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress etc. Which would allow you the option of updating yourself.
